I walked away from the accident,
My chest was on fire but I felt okay.
I wish I were that seatbelt you weren't wearing, dear,
I would have saved you from a broken heart.

The glass in your eyes, the blood on the pavement,
Just another love gone;
Faded through the winshield and into the trees.
The way the road curved, that night,
It wasn't any different than the night before.
Tell me, angel,
Were you thinking of me last night?

While walking I saw a sparkle,
A closer look proved to inherit a tainted smile.
Crystal from the eye, a tear.
I wish I were the boy you wanted, dear.
But I wish you were alive even more,
Even if you were a white lie.

Body bag, ziplocked so fast; commercial use.
They'll take care of the evidence tomorrow.
The rain will fall tonight and wash away the chalk.
I'll see you at the funeral,
Even though you won't be thinking of me anymore.
But your eyes will still be beautiful,
Even with a mask of glass.

Your pulse is in the air tonight.
I know you're there.
Just not here.

I walked away from the accident,
My chest was on fire but I felt okay.
I wish I were that seatbelt you weren't wearing, dear,
I would have saved you from a broken heart.
This is themed as a car accident while the girl thinks of "me" as she's driving... a little too much.

Oops, someone lost control.

Let me know what you think. :)
